Expansive Performance
Regarding overall performance, you can choose from two available powertrains. The standard 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine delivers 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. You can also choose the optional 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine that delivers a mountainous 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Both powertrains are designed to provide power and efficiency for the road ahead.
In the available Ford Edge ST model, you can switch to the exciting Sport mode to add more excitement to your current drive. Moreover, you can utilize the eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters to provide seamless shifting through the gears.
Spacious Design
The Ford Edge is designed for boldness from every angle. Its dynamic front facia grille houses an available 180-degree camera, delivering a wide view of your surroundings. Further, the LED headlamps provide superior illumination when driving along at night.
You can easily access the cargo area thanks to the optional hands-free liftgate. All you need to do is swipe your foot under the rear bumper, and the liftgate will open automatically, so you can store supplies and gear without putting down your bags. You can also add optional 20-inch premium gloss black-painted aluminum wheels that add a bit extra attitude to the exterior looks.
Interior Comfort
Inside the Ford Edge, you and your passengers are in premium comfort thanks to available leather upholstery with perforated inserts and supportive bolsters to deliver a premium comfort experience. Further, the interior is built around functionality, with the center stack and instrument panel located in an ergonomic position right within your fingertips.
The interior also has an innovative dial shifter that takes up less space. Thus, there is more space available for cup holders, more bin size, smarter storage areas, and a USB located in a convenient location. Further, you can take advantage of up to 39.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row of seats. The cargo space is expanded to 73.4 cubic feet with the second-row seats folded down.
Moreover, the interior of the Ford Edge features a wealth of cubbies and storage areas so that you can store small items and maps.
Connectivity and Technology
You can access your favorite apps for music and podcasts through the standard 12.0-inch touchscreen display with Ford SYNC 4A technology. With it, you can enjoy your favorite apps for music and podcasts through standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The SYNC $A stays up to date thanks to over-the-air software updates.
You can also stay connected to the Ford Edge remotely through the FordPass app. Using it, you can start and stop the engine remotely and lock and unlock the doors. You can also schedule a time to start the engine when you take off in the morning.
Safety Features
The new Ford Edge comes with a wealth of safety technologies through Ford Co-Pilot360 technology. Amongst the many safety technologies in Pre-Collision Assist to prevent a possible collision. It accomplishes this by bringing the vehicle to a stop in an emergency. Other highlighted safety features include Enhanced Active Park Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control.
